$71,635 for YMW youth

For the third consecutive year, Optima Global Health co-hosted the golf tournament benefiting Young Musicians of the World (YMW) on June 10. The tournament’s 156 participants met at Le Grand Portneuf golf club in Quebec City.

The money raised during the event will be used to provide free classes in traditional music to students from working class areas. The organization aims to build music schools in disadvantaged socio-economic environments to increase accessibility to art and culture. The project is already established in three cities in the province, Montreal, Quebec City and Sherbrooke, and in Kitcisakik, an Algonquin reserve located in the La Vérendrye Wildlife Reserve. In 2002, a school was also built in Southwest India.

For the third edition of the tournament, the organization raised $71,635 thanks to the sponsors and players who participated. In 2012, it raised close to $84,000 and in 2011, $66,000.

Optima Global Health is proud to actively contribute to YMW’s cause!
